Ansar Mahmood, President British Trauma Society Consultant Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon American Board Certified in Regenerative Medicine Founder, Regen Academy & MISTT Course Board, Biological Knee Society Next-Gen Committee, ICRS. England UK.

President of the British Trauma Society, I lead and represent a multidisciplinary network of professionals dedicated to improving the care of trauma patients in the UK. With over 20 years of experience in orthopaedic trauma surgery, I have a specialist interest in sports medicine and regenerative medicine, and I use my expertise to educate and advise clinicians, industry, and the National Health Service on the latest innovations and best practices in these fields. I am also the course founder and director of the Major Incident Surgical Team Training (MISTT - www.mistt.co.uk) Course, an emergency preparedness and practical critical decision-making course for senior front-line clinicians. MISTT is accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons Ed and recognised by the WHO for training of their trauma surgeons. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills on the use of orthobiologics, such as stem cell therapy and platelet rich plasma therapy, to treat a wide variety of chronic painful conditions, ideally avoiding the use of complex and invasive surgery. I founded the Academy of Regenerative Medicine (ARM - www.thearm.co.uk) to deliver comprehensive practical masterclasses in the UK regenerative medicine space, covering the basic science, evidence base, and clinical practice in this rapidly evolving field. This followed the creation of one of the UKs first dedicated medical practices for Stem Cells in Orthopaedic conditions and pain management in 2017. The ARM is the exclusive partner & provider of the American Board of Regenerative Medicine Diploma certification in the UK and EU. I am the first Orthopaedic Surgeon and one of a handful of surgeons in the UK to gain a Diploma from the American Board of Regenerative Medicine. I am a member of the American Society of Regenerative Medicine and also sit on their Scientific Advisory Board. I was honoured with a Visiting Professor to the Faculty of Medicine at Max Planck University Center Brazil on the Orthoregen program.
